About Us

Having celebrated our 125th anniversary last year, the Orr’s Island Library is a community library open year-round to all residents and visitors to the Town of Harpswell. It has a 10,000-volume collection of mysteries and other fiction, children’s books, as well as reference books and 24/7 free WiFi. We also have a growing collection of Maine-related books and genealogical material. An onsite Used Bookstore is open during regular business hours.

The library runs special children’s programming in July, and the facility is available to community organizations for meetings and workshops year round.
